Present

One of the biggest assets to Syracuse, as a city on its way to a more well thought out food system, is the eagerness to plan for a more sustainable way to go about the food system. Producers in CNY are fortunate enough to have resources like the Cornell Cooperative Extension and the CNY Regional Market to expand their businesses through best practices or economically through the market.

There are also a multiplicity of different organizations that help create an ambitious and food-sensitive Central New York. With programs like SyracuseGrows, along with eager urban planners, CNY currently functions as a place with plentiful opportunities to produce. Our study in current production also extends to interviewing farmers from:

Daily Harvest Farms

Main Street Farms

and Reeve’s Farms,

as well as the Cornell Cooperative Extension
