The growth of the refugee community in Syracuse has resulted in the creation of new and various markets throughout the city, where we call them culturally-appropriate food access points. These serve as alternative markets to American supermarkets. The map below shows the number of alternative markets refugees can potentially access, where each colored point refers to a region they serve.
