Some sites of refugee food production in Syracuse are the <a title=\"Isabella Street Tapestry Garden\" href=\"https:\/\/foodplancny.expressions.syr.edu\/?page_id=103\" target=\"_blank\">Isabella Street Tapestry Garden<\/a>, <a title=\"Karibu Community Garden\" href=\"https:\/\/foodplancny.expressions.syr.edu\/?page_id=662\">Karibu Community Garden<\/a>, and the <a title=\"Salt City Harvest Farm\" href=\"https:\/\/foodplancny.expressions.syr.edu\/?page_id=124\">Salt City Harvest Farm<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For many refugees, growing their own food rather than shopping at a grocery store is a way to connect to back to their home country, as many of them have farming or gardening backgrounds.
